University Center, MI - The Spring Arbor Track and Field team took part in the Jet's Pizza Invitational hosted by Saginaw Valley State this past weekend, and saw numerous Cougars post impressive marks.
Â
The Cougars competed alongside 13 other programs, including NCAA DI, NCAA DII and NCAA DIII schools. Spring Arbor saw two runners become national qualifiers with their times, as well as a handful of other athletes earn top finishes in their events.
Â
On the men's side, the Cougars were led by sophomore Dean Reynolds and senior Nate Stout, who both posted first place finishes in their respective events. Reynolds came out on top in the men's 800m race posting a time of 1:53.12. That was good enough for #3 in the 800m SAU indoor track record books, and an NAIA "A" standard.
