COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Spring Arbor University men's cross country team capped of its season Friday morning at the NAIA National Championship, held at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course.
Spring Arbor finished 17th out of 36 teams – improving on their 23rd place finish at the national meet two years ago. Competing in this year's event for the Cougars were
Ryan O'Rourke,
Dean Reynolds,
Camden Khon,
Glen Davis,
Jacob Singleton,
Chase Hobson and
Kobe Blanco.
O'Rourke led SAU in the 8k race. The junior from Milford, Michigan finished 79th out of 326 runners with a career-best time of 25:01 – the 13th-best time in program history.
The top five Cougars all finished under 26:00, including Reynolds and Khon, who clocked in at 25:06 and 25:14, respectively.
The College of Idaho, the No. 1 ranked team heading into the championship, captured the team title. Evert Silva from Oklahoma City University was the individual champion with a time of 23:14.
