SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2025 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes for spring sports. This honor recognized student-athletes who excelled academically in the spring sports of baseball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's track & field, softball and men's and women's tennis.
Spring Arbor had 74 student-athletes receive the award, including 17 from women's track & field, 13 from both baseball and softball, 10 from men's track & field, nine from women's tennis, six from men's tennis, four from men's golf and two from women's golf.
For the academic year, SAU has collected 149 scholar-athletes honors. The Cougars collected 41 during the fall sports season and added 34 during the winter sports season.
To qualify as a Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete, students must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on the eligibility certificate for their sport, and have attended their institution for at least one full year.
