SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University men's golf team placed third out of seven teams at the Battle at Blackthorn held at Blackthorn Golf Club.
The Cougars finished with a two-day score of 596 after rounds of 299 and 297.
Leading the way for SAU for the second straight tournament was
Zach Koch, who fired back-to-back under par rounds. Koch carded two 71s for a 36-hole total of 142 to take home fourth place in the 45-player field. Close behind him was
Andrew Veldman, who finished seventh overall with a 147.
Taylor University won the event with a 576 while host Bethel University followed with a 595 – just one stroke ahead of the Cougars.
