SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University women's golf team placed eighth in the 11-team field at the Battle at Blackthorn held at Blackthorn Golf Club.
 
The Cougars finished with a two-day score of 729 with rounds of 375 and 354.
 
For the second straight tournament, Elle Bolkema earned a top-10 finish landing in 10th place out of more than 50 players carding a 36-hole total of 159.
 
Host team Bethel University won the event with a 609. Grace College and Olivet Nazarene University followed with scores of 622 and 650, respectively.
