Kameron Mills

Kameron Mills begins his fourth full season as the head coach for the men's and women's track and field teams in 2025-26.

Mills stepped in as the interim coach in August 2021 after serving as an assistant coach for the cross country and track & field programs during the 2020-21 academic year.

Under his direction in the 2021-22 campaign, Spring Arbor captured a Crossroads League championship in the distance medley relay, earned three All-Crossroads League honors, qualified athletes in 10 different events between the NAIA Indoor and Outdoor National Championships and saw five athletes earn All-American honors at the indoor national championships.

Mills and the Cougars followed it up with an even better 2022-23 season that culminated with the men's 4x800 meter relay team capturing the title at the NAIA Outdoor National Championships.

The Cougars have also made an impact on the program record book with numerous new all-time records and top 10 marks.

In his first year on staff as an assistant, Mills played an instrumental role in helping the men's cross country team climb as high as No. 20 in the top 25 poll, as well as making a return to the NAIA National Championship. It was the first team appearance for SAU in 15 years. In addition to qualifying for the national meet, the Cougars finished fourth at the Crossroads League Championship – the program's best finish since 2013 – and saw a pair of runners earn All-Crossroads League honors.

Mills, who competed for the Cougars from 2010-14, has 12 years of cross country and 10 years of track & field competition experience. During his time at SAU, Mills secured the second-fastest time in school history and an NAIA national qualification in the 3000-meter steeplechase (9:28.61), the 10th-fastest time in the 5000 meter run (15:30.34) and the fifth-fastest 4x800 meter relay (7:46.54). His 4x800 relay team also captured the NCCAA national championship title in 2012. Mills then went on to gain more experience with three years of high school cross country and two years of track coaching at Mount Pleasant High School.
