SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University women's basketball team saw four student-athletes earn Crossroads League all-league honors for the 2025-26 season, as the conference announced its postseason awards Wednesday.
Megan Zeitz was selected to the First Team All-Crossroads League and
Ashley Weller to the Second Team while
Haven Chapman and
Emma Smieska received Honorable Mentions honors. Zeitz and Chapman also landed on the All-Defensive Team and Chapman was named a member of the All-Freshman Team.
A sophomore from Dansville, Michigan, Zeitz started all 28 games and led the Cougars with 14.0 points per game, totaling a career-high 392 points on the season. She added 137 rebounds, ranked second on the team with 59 assists, and tied for second with 61 steals. Zeitz scored a career-high 25 points in a win over Coastal Georgia and recorded four 20-point performances during the campaign.
Weller, a sophomore from Pleasant Lake, Michigan, averaged 9.1 points per game and finished with a career-high 256 points this season. She contributed 79 rebounds, 38 assists and 53 steals across 28 games.
Chapman, a freshman from Otisville, Michigan, also averaged 9.1 points per contest while leading the team with 5.3 rebounds per game and 147 total boards. She ranked second on the team with 13 blocks and 60 steals, helping the Cougars rank among the best in the country in defensive efficiency rating.
Smieska, a senior from Leslie, Michigan, averaged 8.0 points per game while leading the team with 60 assists and 62 steals. Spring Arbor finished the season ranked first in the Crossroads League in both steals and forced turnovers, with Smieska playing a key role in the Cougars' defensive success.
