The Spring Arbor University men's basketball team struggled on Tuesday night as they dropped an 80-64 decision to the Marian College Knights. Freshman Justin DeKock (Demotte, IN) scored a career-high 16 points in defeat while senior Scott Parrish (Charlevoix, MI) and freshman Rob Boss (Brighton, MI) added 13 and 11 points respectively.
"I was really disappointed with our effort in the first half," commented SAU Head Coach Ryan Cottingham. "We didn't play with a sense of urgency on every possession. We've got to get back to playing great team defense."
Spring Arbor will host the Jamieson-Allen Insurance Agency Shootout on Friday and Saturday. Friday's line-up will match Davenport University against Marygrove College at 6:00pm and then SAU will clash with U of M Dearborn at approximately 8:00pm. The consolation game will tip-off at 3:00pm on Saturday with the championship game starting at 5:00pm
