It wasn't pretty but the Spring Arbor University Cougars found a way to upend the Olivet College Comets 67-63 on Friday night. Finishing up exams earlier in the day the Cougars showed their resolve as they grinded out their 13th win of the season behind a game high 24 point performance from junior Rob Boss (Brighton/Brighton). Senior Kevin Ludwig (Holland/West Ottawa) added 13 points and sophomore DJ Baisden (Munith/Jackson Christian) chipped in with 10 points and seven assists.
"We looked fatigued tonight both mentally and physically but we were able to hang in there and make just enough plays to get it done," commented Coach Cottingham.
SAU improves to 13-2 on the season and will return to action on Wednesday, Dec. 17th when they travel to Grand Rapids to play Kuyper College. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00pm.
