The Spring Arbor University made a long and frustrating trip back and forth from Indianapolis on Thursday. The Lady Cougars fell victim to the Marian College Knights 34-65, continuing a five game slide that the Cougars have been on since losing Lyndsey Norman and Kara Buehrer to injury.
The Cougars welcomed Buehrer back in a limited role on Thursday, as the junior point guard played 18 minutes, registering six points on a still tender ankle.
Tristen Smith led the Cougars in scoring, pouring in 10 points on 4 for 13 from the floor. She was the only Lady Cougar to score in double digits. Overall the Cougars shot a dismal 18% (10 of 54) from the floor in the contest.
SAU won't have much time to lick their wounds, as the ladies welcome Grace College to campus Saturday for a 1:00 p.m. tip off.
