The Spring Arbor University women's soccer team completed a season sweep of Rochester College yesterday by defeating the Warriors 10-0 on the road at the Ultimate Soccer Arena in Pontiac.
Twelve different Cougars registered a point in the contest, highlighted by senior Heidi Sharp's two goal, two assist performance and freshman Braydan Wiles' first career goal.
Sharp netted what would turn out to be the game winner four minutes into the contest off a Jessica Clarke feed. The versatile Jackson, Michigan native leads the Cougars with seven goals and six assists on the season. Clarke also registered a pair of goals in the match.
Wiles grabbed her first career marker in the 20th minute and followed up with a second mid way through the second half.
The Cougars out-shot the Warriors 45-1 in the contest.
Spring Arbor improves to 5-4-1 overall with the win.
Spring Arbor will be back in action on Saturday when they open conference play against Taylor University. The match will be held at Spring Arbor and is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff.
