Cougars Gain Momentum

The Spring Arbor University women's basketball team seems to be gaining momentum. Last week, the Cougars snapped a 12 game losing streak with a non-conference victory over Rochester College. Last night the women breezed by conference foe Goshen College 56-48 to run their mini win streak to two games.

Melissa Tejkl and Alex Glenn led what turned out to be a very balanced attack for the Lady Cougars. Glenn and Tejkl's eight point, team high efforts might seem meager, but the fact that no less than twelve different Cougars registered at least a point is very significant. Tejkl was just shy of a double-double effort as she hauled in a team high nine rebounds in the contest as well.

The trio of Trisha Seilhamer, Kristen Kotarba and Audra Norris registered seven points each to back up Tejkl and Glenn.

The Cougars are back in action on Saturday when they make the long trip down to Indianapolis, Indiana to take on the Marian University Knights. The game will tip off at 1:00 p.m.
