The Spring Arbor University women's basketball team welcomed the Cougars of the University of St. Francis to campus on Wednesday and came out on the short end of a 37-80 decision.
Spring Arbor was led by Melissa Tejkl and Megan Bement who scored 11 and 7 points respectively. Kristin Kotarba and Courtney Smith also chipped in on the boards, rounding up game high 4 rebounds.
In the end, USF's depth was too much for Spring Arbor, as the visiting Cougars put three players in double figures. USF also took better care of the basketball, committing just 13 turnovers to Spring Arbor's 23.
Spring Arbor University is back in action on Saturday when Taylor University (RV) travels to Spring Arbor for a 1:00 p.m. showdown.
