The Spring Arbor University Cougars women's hoop team is looking for their first 2 game winning streak of the season after losing at home to Siena Heights Saints 81-72 on Thursday night.
With Spring Arbor leading 44-33 at the half, the song came to life as the Saints Came Marching In and went on an 18-6 scoring run to take the lead with 13:43 to play in the game. But down by 10 points with 6:25 to go, the Cougars came roaring back and cut the lead to 1 point and down 72-73 with only 1:33 to go. But that would be all the scoring for the Cougars as Siena Height would finish scoring the last 9 points of the ball game.
The Cougars were led by Sophomore Alex Glenn with a season high 16 points shooting 3 of 5 from three point range and 3 for 3 from the charity stripe. Senior Melissa Tejki scored 14, Jr. Megan Bement 13, and Jr. Ashley Stetler chipped in 10 for the Cougars. Megan Bement dished out 5 assists also.
