Upland, IN - The Spring Arbor University Cougars came up big last week as they swept a pair of road conference games and earned their fifth consecutive victory, including Saturday's 70-61 triumph over the Taylor University Trojans.
Junior guard DJ Baisden had an outstanding performance as he pumped in a game-high 24 points and dished out a game-high seven assists. Senior Rob Boss had a solid all-around game as he scored 13 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and recorded four assists. Senior Richard Blair netted ten points while senior Aaron List and junior Willie Pickvet chipped in with eight points each.
"I was pleased with our overall performance. Baisden and Boss played very well," commented Coach Ryan Cottingham.
Currently ranked #23 SAU improves to 19-6 overall and 8-3 in MCC play. The Cougars will host the Bethel College Pilots on Tuesday night in a pivotal conference match-up. Bethel comes in ranked #9 and boasts a 20-4 mark including an 8-3 record in league play. Bethel defeated SAU 85-62 back on Jan. 5th.
