The Spring Arbor University Women's Basketball team suffered another hard defeat this past Saturday, losing to Huntington University by a score of 57-77. The Cougars entered Saturday's game against the Foresters hoping to avenge a thirteen point loss earlier in the season.
SAU battled hard for the first twenty minutes only trailing by nine points going into the locker room.
It was a tale of two halves as the second stanza was completely opposite from the first. SAU went 8/19 from the floor and 2/6 from three-point range on their way to only a 31 point production in the half. After a relatively competitive first half, Huntington pulled away in the second and the Cougars couldn't position themselves to get back in the game.
Alex Glenn led the way for the Cougars by dropping in 17 points. Kristin Kotarba finished with 10, Megan Bement had 8, and April Adams chipped in 6 on the night.
With the loss, the Lady Cougars take their overall record to 4-22 and their record in the MCC to 2-13. The Lady Cougars will face Goshen College on Saturday, February 20th at home. Tip-off is planned for 1:00 pm.
