The Spring Arbor University women's basketball team dropped a disappointing 65-70 decision to Goshen College at home on Bockwitz Court on Saturday.
The Lady Cougars were led by Megan Bement who poured in fifteen points and grabbed six rebounds in the contest. Melissa Tejkl scored eleven points and grabbed six boards while Kristin Kotarba passed out a game high 10 assists and snagged a game high fifteen rebounds to go along with her six points in the loss.
SAU shot a lukewarm 38% (24-63) from the field in the contest while the Maple Leafs also shot 38% (23-60)
The Cougars slip to 4-23 overall with the loss and will be in action next when they travel to Marion, Indiana on Tuesday to face off with the #1 seeded Indiana Wesleyan Wildcats in the opening round of the MCC Tournament. The Cougars, who are seeded #8 for the tournament would need to win three road games in the tournament to advance and qualify for an automatic berth to the NAIA national tournament.
