Lady Cougars Fall to Marian at Home

Spring Arbor, MI - The Spring Arbor University Lady Cougars lost to visiting Marian University Knights 76-52 Wednesday night. Senior, Melissa Tejkl scored a game high 17 points including seven of eight free throws.

The loss was the Cougars 7th straight and 10th of the last 11 games.

Marian enjoyed balanced scoring with 4 players in double digit performances. Junior Misty Wynn turned in a double-double effort with 10 points, 11 rebounds.

Not shooting well, and costly turnovers have plagued Spring Arbor throughout this slump, but tonight you could add rebounding into the mix as Marian out-rebounded SAU 44-28. Second chance points and points off of turnovers paid off heavily for the Knights to the tune of 27-4 in scoring.

Alex Glenn put in another steady performance with nine points and two steals.

The Cougars will head to the University of Saint Francis on Saturday, January 29. Tip off is scheduled for 1:00
