Cougars Fall to Pilots on the Road

MISHAWAKA, MI - The Spring Arbor University's women's basketball team has played five of its first seven games on the road including the Cougars first MCC Conference game with Bethel College. And for the fourth straight game, the Lady Cougars were within a point of the lead but could not find a way to close out a game on the winning end. Spring Arbor lost to Bethel 71-58.

"We fought hard on the road tonight," said Coach Ryan Frost. "We're making progress every game and that is eventually going to pay dividends. I am proud of our team and how we played tonight."

Jessica Garrison scored 13 points to lead Spring Arbor (2-5, 0-1) and Audra Norris scored 12 and grabbed seven rebounds.

Spring Arbor hit 17 of 20 from the free throw line.

Spring Arbor will remain on the road for a Saturday game just down the road in Albion, MI as the Cougars will take on the Britons of Albion College at 3:00 pm.
