INDIANAPOLIS, IN - It
was one of those games where nothing went right for the Lady Cougars at Marian
University on Saturday night as Spring Arbor lost to the Knights 61-40 and
never led at any point in the game.
Defense was the name of the game in this matchup as the
leading scorer was three players from Marian with 10 points each.
No Cougar was able to score in double digits in the game and
the scoring was led by Jessica Garrison and Megan Bement who each scored nine
points.
"Consistency is something that we need to grow into," said
Coach Ryan Frost. Tonight we started
with great effort on the defensive end.
We need to do that consistently through 40 minutes. Sara Wellman was a bright spot for us
tonight. She was active at both ends and
gave us good minutes.
Wellman led the Cougars with five rebounds in the game along
with Michaela Robichaud and April Adams.
The loss drops the Cougars to 3-7 on the year, and 1-2 in
the MCC.
The Cougars will travel to Alma College on Tuesday, December
6th for a 7:00 game with the Scots.
