SPRING ARBOR, MI - Spring Arbor University lost for the 12th
straight time Saturday afternoon 70-52 to Grace College. The loss dropped the Cougar's record to 2-13
in the MCC Conference and 8-21 overall.
The victory for Grace College improved their mark to 6-8 (MCC) and 15-12
overall.
The Cougars failed to score for the first 6:17 of the game
and spotted the Lancers 10 points on the way to a halftime deficit of 23 points
with the score of 41-18.
Spring Arbor would trim the Lancer's lead to 16 points
(45-29) with 15:42 to play, but would never get closer as Grace pushed the lead
to 26 points (61-35) with 8:53 left on the clock.
Melissa Tejkl led Spring Arbor with 14 points and 8
rebounds. Alex Glenn chipped in with
nine points, five rebounds in the defeat.
Spring Arbor will conclude its regular season on Senior Night,
Wednesday, February 16th, 2011.
Huntington University will bring its MCC 4th place record of
(16-10, 8-6). The Cougars are still
vying for a spot in the MCC Post Season Tournament. Goshen and Spring Arbor are competing for the
eight seed to play the #1 seed St. Francis, or Indiana Wesleyan.
