FORT WAYNE, IN - The Spring Arbor University women's
basketball team lost its fourth straight game Wednesday night at the hands of
the University of Saint Francis Cougars 74-54.
Angela Russell led Spring Arbor with 12 points followed by
Megan Bement who added 11.
The Cougars couldn't get anything started shooting only 34%
from the field including a dismal 8/31 (25%) shooting in the second half.
Michaela Robichaud led Spring Arbor in rebounding hauling in
11 boards.
The loss drops the Cougars to 3-8 in the MCC and places them
into a tie for the 8th with Mount Vernon Nazarene and the final spot
for post season play. Both teams are
three games behind five teams at 6-5 and tied for 3rd place. There are seven games remaining on the Spring
Arbor schedule, including Mount Vernon
and Goshen College who is 0-11 in the conference.
The Ladies will return home on Saturday as they will take on
Marian College for a 1:00 start.
