SPRING ARBOR, MI – Spring Arbor simply couldn't find the answers for Madonna's hot shooting Heather Pratt and the Lady Crusaders in a 66-48 loss on Tuesday night on Bockwitz Court in Spring Arbor. Madonna shot 9-20 from 3-point range including 6-10 from Pratt to shoot down the Cougars.
Spring Arbor was led by Audra Norris who came off the bench to score 10 points.
Carlie Newman grabbed a game high eight rebounds which aided the Cougars in out-rebounding Madonna 39-36. Newman also dished out six assists in the game to lead Spring Arbor in that stat line as well.
Spring Arbor trailed at the half 36-31 and actually cut the lead to three points with 17 minutes remaining in the contest, but the next 12 minutes would sink Spring Arbor's hopes with a 27-11 Crusader run to put the game out of reach for Spring Arbor.
The loss drops Spring Arbor to 2-2 on the year and the ladies will continue their run of WHAC opponents this Thursday night at home against Siena Heights University. The game time for the game is set for 7:00
