FORT WAYNE, IN – Spring Arbor University women's basketball team was handed a 72-37 defeat to the University of Saint Francis Cougars on Wednesday night. It was the first road game for the Cougars and the fifth straight loss after starting the year 2-0.
Jessica Garrison led Spring Arbor with 14 points and Carlie Newman poured in 12 points. Shelby Peterson nabbed four steals for the Cougars.
The loss drops the Cougars to 2-5 on the year and 0-2 in Crossroads League play. St. Francis remains undefeated in nine games and is now 2-0 in CL action.
Spring Arbor will play Marian University on Saturday at 1:00 at home.
