UPLAND, IN -Spring Arbor's Audra Norris and Jessica Garrison teamed up for 25 points in a losing cause against Trojans Wednesday night in Odle Arena on the campus of Taylor University. Norris hit three 3-pointers on her way to 13 points while Garrison hit a variety of shots garnering her 12 points.
After trailing 38-19 at the break, Spring Arbor won the second half 20-19 with solid defense and gritty never-say-die attitude which the Lady Cougars have possessed all year long.
Alex Glenn led the Cougars in rebounding with six boards while Garrison, Sarah Wellman, and Ashley Stelter each grabbed five rebounds apiece.
The loss was the seventh in a row for Spring Arbor who dropped to 7-19 on the year and 3-12 in the Mid-Central College Conference. Taylor improved to 17-10, and 7-8.
The Lady Cougars will return home for a Saturday match-up with Goshen College. The 1:00 game will be the Senior Day and the final home game for seniors Ashley Stelter, Angela Russell, Megan Bement, and Sarah Wellman.
