INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The women's tennis team made the long trek to Marian University very early this morning for an 11:00 match with the 6-0 and league leading Knights. Marian, ranked #25 in the NAIA held serve on the Cougars and defeated Spring Arbor 8-1.
Freshman, Quincy Banini at the #4 singles took home the only Cougar point with a straight set 6-2, 6-2 win over Marian's Hannah Elliott. Banini is 3-1 in singles play this year.
The loss for the Cougars dropped their record at 1-3 on the season while Marian improved to 6-0.
The Cougars also made their last road trip in the fall and will play the remainder of their season on the friendly confines of Spring Arbor University. The next match for Spring Arbor will be against Goshen College on Tuesday, September 11 at 4:00
