WINONA LAKE, IN – Spring Arbor University's women's basketball team ran into a hot shooting Grace College Lancer team that hit almost half of their 15 3-pointers in downing the Cougars 67-46 in a Crossroads League matchup on Wednesday night on the Grace College campus.
Jessica Garrison was the lone Cougar in double digit scoring with 11 points and grabbing five rebounds. Jenna Jamieson had a game high eight rebounds for Spring Arbor.
"Our youth showed itself tonight," said Head Coach Ryan Frost. "We had short stretches where we competed hard and made good decisions and then we would lose focus."
"We knew there was going to be some growing pains this year and we just have to push through them and learn from it," continued Frost.
The loss was the fourth in Crossroads League play in four games this year, and dropped to 6-10 overall. Spring Arbor will return home on Saturday afternoon for a 1:00 game with Indiana Wesleyan University.
