Cougars Cruise to easy win over Great Lakes Christian

SPRING ARBOR, MIRob Hogans led four Cougars scoring in double digits and the Cougars cruised to a 92-56 win over Great Lakes Christian College on Wednesday night on Bockwitz Court.  Hogans scored 21 points in just 19 minutes of action hitting seven of 13 shots from the field, including three of five from 3-point range.

Tyler Hughes scored a career high 16 points and hauled in nine rebounds in his best performance wearing the Cougar blue and gold.  Isaac Love introduced himself to the Cougar faithful in a big way scoring his first points as a collegian hitting five of ten from the field, including two 3-pointers to add 12 points to Spring Arbor's totals.  Thomas Starks added 10 points for SAU.

Every Cougar that played got on the board as Spring Arbor shot 38-77 from the field as a team and almost everyone grabbed a rebound as Spring Arbor out-rebounded the Crusaders 49-25.

The first 10 minutes of the game went back and forth, but after halfway through the first half, the Cougars controlled the tempo and the game and ran away from the Crusaders building a 44-26 lead at the half.  Spring Arbor out-scored Great Lakes 48-30 in the second half.

Spring Arbor evened out their record at 4-4 on the year, and will travel to Saginaw Valley State University on Friday night for a 7:00 tip against the 2-0 Cardinals.
