SPRING ARBOR, MI – The Lady Cougars tennis team leveled their record at 2-2 with a convincing win over Grace College on Tuesday afternoon. The Cougars swept the doubles and the #2 through #6 singles for the 8-1 victory over the Lancers.
Winning matches in singles was; Quincy Banini's (6-3, 6-3), Jenna Bart (6-2, 4-6, 12-10), Katie Storrer (6-2, 6-0), Mary-Kate McShane (6-2, 6-1), and Erin Hossack (6-2, 6-2).
"This was a strong victory today for SAU women's tennis," said Coach Bobby Pratt. "We started out strong with the doubles, and Katie Storrer picked up her first victory at singles. Erin Hossack played solid in her singles match as well. Quincy got back to her winning form and Mary-Kate continued her consistent play at five-singles."
The Cougars will play Marian University on Saturday at 12:00 pm. The time is an hour delayed to allow Marian more time for travel.
