SPRING ARBOR, MI – The Indiana Wesleyan Wildcats delivered a 1-2 punch to the Cougars and shots lights out to defeat Spring Arbor 92-66 on the campus of Spring Arbor University on Saturday afternoon.
IWU shot an amazing 60 percent from the field and from 3-point range hitting 14 of 23 long range shots in disrupting Spring Arbor's defensive scheme, and the tandem of Jordan Weidner and RJ Mahurin scores 25 and 24 points respectively to pace the Wildcats. The high shooting percentage lead to 27 assists being dished out by IWU.
Spring Arbor had four Cougars score in double digits with Rob Hogans and Xavier Prather each scoring 14 points and Tyler Hughes and Greg Hamilton each adding 10 points to the books. Prather grabbed a game-high seven rebounds.
Spring Arbor falls to 10-18 and 5-11 with two regular season games remaining on the schedule including Tuesday night's final home game and Senior Night as SAU will honor the lone senior and prolific scorer, Rob Hogans. The game will start at 7:00 on Tuesday against Marian University.
