SPRING ARBOR, MI – The women's tennis team capped off their season with a strong 7-2 win over Cornerstone University to finish a season with a 14-8 season record.
Spring Arbor took a 2-1 lead after the doubles with win at the #1 and #3 positions as Hope Roelofs and Quincy Banini teamed up for a 8-0 win at #1 and Shari Pike and Paige Fallu were the beneficiaries of the Golden Eagles not having enough players to field the #3 doubles and #6 singles position and were credited with the win.
Roelofs defeated Heidi Boesl at #1 singles with a straight set 6-4, 6-3 win and Banini won convincingly at #2 6-0, 6-1. Jenna Bart outlasted her opponent after losing the first set 4-6, rebounded and won the next two sets 6-1, 11-9. Erin Hossack made quick work at #4 winning 6-2, 6-0 and Paige Fallu won bty default at #6 singles.
