WINONA LAKE, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University women's tennis team remained unbeaten following a 9-0 triumph over Grace College on Saturday.
The Cougars, who have dropped only two points all season, are off to one of the best starts in program history moving to 4-0, while the Lancers slipped to 1-3.
In singles play, SAU took five of the six points in straight sets while junior Quincy Banini outlasted Natalia Kurkova on the No. 1 court 6-3, 1-6, 14-12 to complete the sweep.
The Cougars continued their dominance in doubles with Banini and Erin Hossack, as well as Hope Roelofs and Katie Storrer, defeating their opponents by identical 8-4 scores at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions. Mary-Kate McShane and Monika Wynne cruised to an 8-1 win at No. 3.
Spring Arbor will wrap up its four-match road swing at Marian University on Tuesday, Sept. 9 at 3 p.m.
