ALMA, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University women's tennis team kicked off its spring season in dominant fashion, defeating Alma College 9-0 on Saturday at the Stone Recreation Center.
The Cougars got things started with a pair of convincing doubles victories. The duo of Hope Roelofs and Katie Storrer, along with the team of Mary-Kate McShane and Monika Wynne won by identical scores of 8-2. Quincy Banini and Erin Hossack completed the sweep after prevailing 8-5.
Spring Arbor carried its momentum into singles play where it took all six flights in straight sets.
The Cougars are off until Wednesday, Mar. 4 when they travel to Albion, Michigan to take on their local rivals Albion College at 4 p.m.
