SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The No. 1 ranked Spring Arbor University women's soccer team defeated visiting Goshen College 7-0 on Wednesday at the Cougar Soccer Complex.
The win improved the Cougars to a perfect 5-0 in league play and keep pace with fellow unbeaten Grace College at the top of the Crossroads League standings.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Spring Arbor scored four goals in a span of 15 minutes in the first half, including the first career goal for freshman Rebekah Cotton.
- The Cougars tallied three more in the second half. Bethany Balcer and Makenzie Selvius each scored for the second time of night while Brooke Beaune also found the back of the net.
- Balcer finished the night with two goals and three assists and Selvius totaled two goals and one assist.
- SAU outshot Goshen 29-0 and had an 11-0 advantage in corner kicks.

Spring Arbor hosts Bethel College (3-5-4, 1-3-0 CL) on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. The Cougars will be wearing special edition pink jerseys for in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off in a silent auction during the match. Fans can support the breast cancer awareness cause by bidding on their favorite player's game-worn jersey. Winners can pick their laundered jersey up at any home match following Saturday's match, or can choose to have it shipped to them instead. Starting bids will be a minimum of $25. All proceeds from the auction and the match will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer Research and Prevention.
