HUNTINGTON, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University women's basketball team dropped two games at the Huntington University Classic over the weekend. The Cougars fell to Indiana University Southeast 60-32 on Friday night and 58-44 to Indiana University Kokomo on Saturday.
VS. INDIANA SOUTHEAST

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Spring Arbor was unable to get its offense going against Indiana Southeast, shooting under 20 percent (11-for-56) for the game.
- Despite the shooting struggles, the Cougars only trailed by five early in the third quarter. IU Southeast broke the game open, however, with a 10-0 run and would never look back.
- Rachel Nelson scored a team-high nine points and Anne Marie Wright followed with eight. Nelson also hauled in a team-best six rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Spring Arbor and Indiana Kokomo traded the lead 10 times during the first two quarters and went to halftime tied 23-23 after a Gracie Cabana three-pointer just before the buzzer.
- The Cougars trailed 30-28 midway through the third quarter when IU Kokomo erupted with a quick 11-0 run to push the margin to double digits and the gap was too much for SAU to overcome.
- Cabana finished with 13 points to lead Spring Arbor. Wright added eight and five rebounds while Cierra Lipps scored five points off the bench.
