Men's Soccer overcomes early deficit for 3-1 win over Warner Pacific

SALEM, Ore. – The Spring Arbor University men's soccer team overcame an early 1-0 deficit with three unanswered goals to earn a 3-1 victory over Warner Pacific University on Saturday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Spring Arbor fell behind in the 23rd minute after Warner Pacific put away a loose ball in front of the SAU goal.
  • Moments later, senior Janum Sailor leveled the score with his first goal of the season.
  • A goal from Morris Kamara in the 37th minute gave the Cougars a 2-1 edge heading into halftime.
  • Baba Valdmanis added an insurance goal in the 69th minute, finishing off a free kick from Jacob Crull.
  • Michael White made his debut in goal for the Cougars making three saves.
  • Spring Arbor outshot Warner Pacific 18-13.
