Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. – The No. 10 ranked Spring Arbor University men's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season on Saturday night, falling 4-2 on the road at No. 17 Lindsey Wilson College.
A late first half goal by Cole Russell cut a two-goal deficit to one, but the Blue Raiders found the back of the net twice in the opening moments of the second half to help hold off the Cougars.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lindsey Wilson got on the board in the sixth minute behind a goal from Oscar Dueso. The Blue Raiders doubled their lead in the 23rd minute when Renan Ramos beat SAU goalkeeper Christopher Banfi.
- Spring Arbor closed the gap before halftime as Russell extended his scoring streak to four straight matches. The junior from Brighton, Michigan headed home a corner kick off the foot of Jacob Crull in the 37th minute.
- Lindsey Wilson put the game out of reach, however, with two quick goals to begin the second half with Ramos and Dueso each finding the back of the net again.
- Crull would add another tally for SAU off a penalty kick in the 51st minute, but that was as close as the Cougars would get.
- The home team held a 26-9 shot advantage over the Cougars.
- Banfi finished with a career-high six saves.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Spring Arbor moves to 1-1 all-time against Lindsey Wilson. The Cougars' victory over LWC came during the 2013 season when they upset the then-No. 1 ranked Blue Raiders 2-1 in Columbia.
- Russell's goal was his team-leading sixth of the season. His six goals are a new career-high.
