Women’s Basketball blows past Great Lakes Christian

SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University women's basketball team had no trouble in its game against Great Lakes Christian College on Tuesday night, defeating the visiting Crusaders 86-38.

Four Cougars scored in double figures, including Anne Marie Wright, who led the way for SAU with a game-high 17 points.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
  • Spring Arbor took a 41-26 lead into halftime, but broke the game wide open over the final two quarters, outscoring Great Lakes Christian 45-12.
  • In total, 11 different SAU players reached the scoring column. Wright paced the Cougars with a season-high 17 points while sinking five 3-pointers. Cierra Lipps followed with 12 points and six assists while Addison Bayman and Daelynn Jackson chipped in 10 points apiece.
  • Spring Arbor shot 41 percent from the field and 42 percent from behind the 3-point line. Great Lakes Christian was held to 21 percent shooting on the night.
  • Great Lakes Christian committed 29 turnovers, which SAU converted into 39 points.
