MARION, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University men's basketball team fell at Indiana Wesleyan University 102-75 in the Crossroads League Tournament Semifinals on Saturday afternoon.
The fourth-seeded Cougars were unable to slow down a red-hot IWU squad. The top-seeded, and No. 3 nationally ranked, Wildcats shot 65 percent from the field to punch their ticket to their sixth straight tournament championship game.
Brandon Durnell had a team-high 22 points and seven rebounds while Paul Marandet finished with 16 points, six rebounds and six assists.
With the loss, Spring Arbor must wait for a possible at-large bid into the 2019-20 NAIA DII Men's Basketball National Championship. The men's basketball championship bracket reveal is scheduled for Wednesday, Mar. 4 at 6 p.m. ET on the NAIA's Facebook page.
