FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University men's golf team finished third at the 2021 Crossroads League Championship, held at Orchard Ridge Country Club in Fort Wayne, Indiana on Monday and Tuesday.
Sean Vann won the individual title by two shots, edging out Taylor's Drew Pickering and Indiana Wesleyan's Jack Dykema. The Jackson, Michigan native finished just two-over par over 54 holes finishing with a score of 219 (74-72-73). It was the first career victory for Vann, who also secured an automatic berth into the NAIA Men's Golf National Championship by winning the league's individual crown.
Spring Arbor finished the two-day event with a total score of 908 – just five shots back of first place Taylor. The Cougars' third place finish is the team's best finish at the league championship since joining the Crossroads League in 2004-05.
Taylor captured its fifth consecutive conference championship by posting a 903. Marian University followed in second place with a 907.
