GOSHEN, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University baseball team got a complete game shutout from
Gavin Harris Saturday afternoon on the way to earning a series split with Goshen College.
The Cougars fell to Goshen 15-12 in a slugfest before posting a 5-0 win in the nightcap behind the outstanding start from Harris.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- Goshen led 8-2 after four innings, but Spring Arbor evened the score with a six-run fifth inning – highlighted by back-to-back home runs by Brandon Haynes and Landon Raczkowski.
- The Maple Leafs responded with a seven spot in the home half of the fifth to retake the lead.
- The Cougars scored two runs in the sixth and two more in the eighth, but Goshen would hang on for the win.
- SAU pounded out 14 hits with six players posting a multi-hit game.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- Harris was dominant on the mound in game two. The senior right-hander blanked the Maple Leafs over seven innings, allowing just five hits while striking out a season-high 10 batters.
- Spring Arbor gave Harris all the support he would need with two runs in the second inning on a 2-RBI double by Jackson Kitchen.
- Kitchen finished with three RBI's while Zach Kraabel also drove in one.
