MARION, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University baseball team saw its season come to an end Saturday with a 5-2 loss to Marian University in the Crossroads League Tournament.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Marian scored once in the second inning, and added two more on a two-run home run in the fifth to build a 3-0 lead.
- Spring Arbor narrowed the deficit to one following a two-run bottom of the fifth. Jackson Kitchen delivered a clutch two-out, two-RBI single to make it a 3-2 game.
- The Knights would add two insurance runs over the seventh and eighth innings to extend the margin to three, 5-2.
- The Cougars threatened in the seventh, putting runners on second and third base, but were unable to get the key hit they needed.
- Kitchen and Ben Redfield collected two hits apiece while Brant Mast and Peyton Harding also recorded a hit.
- Gavin Harris pitched 6.1 innings allowing four runs on six hits with four strikeouts. Brant Mullins and Cade Kontny each worked a scoreless inning out of the bullpen.
