SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The No. 4 ranked Spring Arbor University women's soccer team scored five first half goals on its way to a 5-0 victory over Bethel University 5-0 in the Crossroads League Tournament Quarterfinals on Saturday at the Cougar Soccer Complex.
With the win, the Cougars advance to the tournament semifinals where they will meet Grace College on Wednesday, Nov. 9.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
- Mackenzie Selvius put Spring Arbor in the driver's seat early, tallying two goals in the first 7:03 of the match.
- Just over a minute later, Lexi Ponstein also found the back of the net to increase SAU's lead to 3-0.
- In the 16th minute, Ponstein struck again with an assist from Madison Marshall.
- Ariana Stoltzfus notched the fifth goal of the half scoring off of a free kick from just outside the 18-yard box.
- Spring Arbor finished the match with a 22-4 advantage in shots and an 8-2 edge in corner kicks.
- Goalkeepers Blair Currie and Reagan Kohler combined to record the team's 15th shutout of the season.
