Taylor Folkema dropped a game-high 22 points, but it was not enough as the Spring Arbor University women's basketball team came up short against Taylor University 68-61 on Wednesday inside the McDonald Athletic Center.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- A game-opening 3-pointer by Natalie Shellberg and a layup from Folkema gave Spring Arbor an early 5-2 lead, but Taylor responded with a 15-2 to pull ahead.
- The Trojans took a 10-point lead into halftime, 33-23, and grabbed their largest lead of the night at 12, 41-29, early in the third quarter.
- The Cougars refused to go down without a fight, trimming the deficit single-digits several times. However, the visitors answered every SAU run to maintain their lead.
- A pair of free throws by Folkema got the Cougars within six, 60-54, with less than a minute remaining, but Taylor was clutch from the free throw line down the stretch, going 8-for-8 from the charity stripe, to steal the road win.
- Folkema posted her second straight 20-point game, finishing with 22 points to go along with seven rebounds and three blocks. Abby Schwartz followed with 12 points and four assists while Alex Long added 11 points and six boards off the bench. Grace Shoobridge matched her career-high with 18 rebounds and chipped in eight points.
- Four Taylor players scored in double figures, including Merideth Deckard, who registered 21 points. Taylor Westgate added a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
