Xavier Prather, Big Brother Season 23 champion,
is set to compete on the new CBS reality
competition series, The Challenge: USA
SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Former Spring Arbor University men's basketball player, Xavier Prather '17, will compete on the CBS reality competition show,
The Challenge: USA.
Prather made his television debut last summer competing on
Big Brother. The Kalamazoo, Michigan native went on to make show history, beating out 15 other contestants to take home $750,000 – the largest grand prize ever awarded on the series – and becoming the first Black champion in the show's 21-year run.
The Challenge: USA sees 28 fan-favorite competitors from multiple CBS reality shows, including
Big Brother,
Love Island,
The Amazing Race and
Survivor, go head-to-head for a chance to win $500,000. The show premieres on Wednesday, July 6 at 9:30 p.m. on CBS. Following its 90-minute premiere, the show will air Wednesdays at 9 p.m.
Prather was a member of the SAU men's basketball team from 2012-17. Over his career, he played in 103 games, scored 495 points, and dished out 241 assists.
