CHICAGO – The Spring Arbor University men's soccer team dropped its season opener on the road at Saint Xavier University 1-0 on Saturday.
Saint Xavier's Dorian Mahone scored what proved to be the game-winner in the 63rd minute.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
- After a scoreless first half, Saint Xavier broke through 18 minutes into the second stanza. Spring Arbor earned a corner kick, but after SXU cleared the ball out of the box, a counter-attack ensued which led to the goal from Mahone.
- Both teams finished with 10 shots while Spring Arbor held a 9-3 advantage in corner kicks. Trevor Kacou and Rood Schnaider recorded three shots apiece while Nathan Ntalu finished with two.
- Goalkeeper Matt LeBlanc made five saves in his SAU debut.
