Annika Arsenault scored three times to help lead the No. 5 ranked Spring Arbor University women's soccer team to an 8-0 season-opening victory over Trinity International University on Saturday at the Cougar Soccer Complex.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
- Spring Arbor scored early and often in its first match of the 2022 season. Arsenault got things started with a tally in the ninth minute off a feed from Madison Marshall, and just five minutes later, Lauren Marshall found the back of the net to double the lead.
- Arsenault would strike again in the 26th minute, smashing in a rebound following a save off a Mackenzie Selvius header.
- The Cougars took a 5-0 lead into halftime before adding three more goals in the second half, including the first career goal for freshman Madalyn Freitas.
- Arsenault completed the hat trick with a goal in the 87th minute.
- Madison Marshall finished the match with three assists and Ariana Stoltzfus added a goal and two assists.
- Spring Arbor outshot Trinity International 32-0 and held a 9-0 advantage in corner kicks.
