Cougars Unable to Top Visiting Foresters

Foresters offensive firepower gets the best of Cougars

Box Score Spring Arbor, MI - The Cougars home court defense came up short as they dropped the second and final matchup in the season series to the visiting Huntington Foresters, 61-73.
 
Poor shooting proved to be the difference maker, as the Cougars struggled to put the ball in the basket for most of the game. They shot just 37% from the field, while allowing the Foresters to shoot 49%.

Game Stats:
- The Cougars were led by Junior guard Austin Braun who poured in 15 points.
- The Cougars found themselves trailing by only three following a Gabe Newhof bucket with just over ten minutes remaining in the half, but were unable to maintain the momentum as they allowed Huntington's lead to balloon to 16 heading into the break.
- Kevyn Robertson brought the arena to their feet and the Cougars bench mob to the floor following a thundering poster dunk in the first half.
- The Cougars were perfect from the charity stripe in the contest, shooting 13-13 for the game.
- Eli White led all bench scorers with 8 points.
- Huntington's Lane Sparks and Zach Goodline combined for 42 points, over half of their team's total score.
