Spring Arbor, MI - The Spring Arbor women's basketball team took care of business and defended home court, beating the visiting Bethel Pilots 65-52 Wednesday night.

The Cougars were able to overcome a lackluster first half in which they found themselves in a two point hole headed into halftime. The Cougars came out of the break motivated and determined to put the game away, as a 15-2 run to start the quarter secured a lead for the Cougars that they would never give away. Consistent play in the fourth quarter allowed the Cougars to preserve their lead and pick up an always important Crossroads League win.

Alize Tripp led the Cougars with 17 points, including 10 of the Cougars' first 18 points to start the contest.
- The Cougars defense caused the Pilots to cough up 23 turnovers in the game, which led to 18 points off of those turnovers.
- The Cougars dominated the offensive glass, as they brought down 19 offensive rebounds.
Alana Nelson led the way in the rebounding department, as she finished with six offensive rebounds and 13 rebounds overall.
- Spring Arbor outscored the Pilots 23-8 in the third quarter, which ultimately gave them the cushion they needed to secure another victory.
- Bethel was led by Katie Kinker, who scored 18 points in the defeat.
