Mount Vernon, OH - The Cougars of Spring Arbor were unable to log a win on the road, as they were defeated by the Cougars of Mount Vernon Nazarene by a score of 59-79.
 
Spring Arbor struggled to get much going on the offensive end, as they shot 33.9% from the field for the game. This, paired with consistent shooting from Mount Vernon, led to an early hole that Spring Arbor couldn't dig themselves out of. SAU trailed by seven with ten minutes remaining in the first half but were unable to keep the deficit to single digits, as it grew to 18, and stood at 24-42 by halftime.
 
The second half was much of the same, and Spring Arbor struggled to gain enough momentum to claw their way back in the game. Spring Arbor was able to get within 11 points several times, but Mount Vernon matched those runs each time, and even stretched their lead to 28 at several points.
